Come 2016, Arnold Schwarzenegger could be gunning for the position of US president; so reports NewstalkZB. The 66 year old actor is reportedly struggling to change the law in America to allow foreign-born candidates to contest for the No.1 seat; since he was born in Austria (outside Amarica). He seems to be optimistic that he will succeed in getting the law changed, and thereby qualify to take part in the elections.
According to reports, a reliable source told the New York Post newspaper: "Schwarzenegger has been talking openly about working on getting the constitutional rules changed so he can run for president in 2016. He is ready to file legal paperwork to challenge the rules."
If the Constitution must be amended to allow foreign-born citizens to rule the Country, such amendment proposal or bill must be approved by a two-thirds majority in the House and the Senate.
The NewstalkZB also reported that Schwarzenegger has always had political aspirations and eventually became the Governor of California in 2003, and held the position for two terms before returning to his film career in 2011.
